About Us
Located in the heart of the King Valley in Whitfield, Whitty Cottage is ideally located within walking distance of local attractions such as the Mountain View Hotel, Dal Zotto Wines, as well as the Whitty Cafe.
Built circa 1900, Whitty Cottage is a fully self-contained, three bedroom miner's cottage which has been tastefully renovated to provide you with all modern conveniences, including reverse-cycle heating/airconditioning, wood-fired heater (May-September), fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso, roomy bathroom with new shower and large living area with television and DVD player. Whitty Cottage sleeps up to 8 people.

- 3rd Bedroom - Double Bed Bunk (double bed on bottom, single on top), with optional single trundle (up to 4 occupants)
Less than 5 minutes away are Pizzini Wines (including A Tavola cooking school), Politini Wines and Chrismont Wines with their spectacular new cellar door and restaurant, with stunning views over the Valley.
A short drive to Moyhu (15 minutes) to the King Valley Dairy, Moyhu Hotel, and Ineeta cafe for the best sausage rolls on earth, 30 minutes to Oxley/Milawa, home of Sam Miranda Wines and Brown Brothers Winery, and the Milawa Cheese Factory, and 45 minutes to Wangaratta. Oxley is also home to Forge's Farm where you can take trail rides.
Surrounded by natural beauty, as well as vineyards, nearby you can visit Paradise Falls, Powers Lookout and Lake William Hovell, popular for swimming and kayaking. The King River winds through the King Valley and has many local waterholes for swimming.
